Cross-Functional Influence

Description
The problems we face, decisions we make, and projects we run are complex. Very rarely does all this work reside neatly within one function, team or location. It requires us to reach across functions and geographical boundaries. And once that reach happens, cross-functional influence is required. Matrix organizations, agile organizations and cross-functional teams all require getting support and influencing decisions across the enterprise. There are six ingredients included in the Cross-Functional Influence Model—and these ingredients are critical whether you are on a cross-functional team, a project team or an agile team. Three ingredients are developed over time, proactively. The other three are situational, opportunity-based and applied in the moment.
